This is a rather belated and relatively short report on our last match away at Clevedon.

Our top boards put us in a strong position with good wins by Dave and Aron and solid draws by James and Keith giving us 3 points and a guaranteed minimum of a drawn match.

Unfortunately Elmira and I weren't able to deliver the winning blow, Elmira suffering a rare loss against one of the toughest board 6 players in the division, and me tamely blundering a bishop in a superior and easily drawn end game.

This, and the previous match against Bath, were therefore "ok" results against solid mid-table opposition, rather than very much "better than ok" results which were in our grasp.

I hang my head in shame.
