Having narrowly lost to one university in our last match, we were up against another this time against Bath University. Here are Andrew's comments on the match.

"Wins on 5 and 6 then my lucky short draw. Aleksei faced huge pressure against a very strong opponent and needed to resign. Left James playing on increment in an open position and Elmira in an endgame with rook and knight and pawns against rook and bishop and equal pawns but short of time. Looked liked we would lose both in the end but James passed pawn forced the win when it looked to me like his opponents passed pawn was stronger. I’ll await the analysis well done against a strong team who will surely be stronger at home."
